PROTEST SONG

Tracy Champan - Talkin' Bout a Revolution

Don't you know you're talking about a revolution It sounds like a whisper Don't you know they're talking about a revolution It sounds like a whisper While they're standing in the welfare lines Crying at the doorsteps of those armies of salvation Wasting time in unemployment lines Sitting around waiting for a promotion Don't you know you're talking about a revolution It sounds like a whisper Poor people are gonna rise up And get their share Poor people are gonna rise up And take what's theirs Don't you know you better run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run Oh I said you better run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run Cause Finally the tables are starting to turn Talking about a revolution Yes, Finally the tables are starting to turn Talking about a revolution oh no Talking about a revolution oh no While they're standing in the welfare lines Crying at the doorsteps of those armies of salvation Wasting time in unemployment lines Sitting around waiting for a promotion Don't you know you're talking about a revolution It sounds like a whisper And finally the tables are starting to turn Talking about a revolution Yes, Finally the tables are starting to turn Talking about a revolution oh no Talking about a revolution oh no Talking about a revolution oh no

Tracy Chapman, is the writer of this protest song. She was born on 30th March of 1964. She is an American singer-songwriter.

The name of this song is actually “Talkin' ‘Bout a Revolution.”
The revolution is an ongoing meme. It is a longing for equality, and for balance in the case for humanity.

The song try to talk about the start of a revolution. Because there are some people who have a lot of power and money while others starve to death. And it is a song that talks about the social differences that had at that epoch too.

I have chosen this song because we have to fight for our rights and because this demands to the youth to fight for them.
